FAQ

Everything you want to know beforehand

Booking & payment

How do I book a retreat?

Via the booking request form. We get back to you personally and send you a confirmation email and the invoice for the retreat.

Can I pay in instalments?

Yes. If you can't pay everything at once, just write to us – we will work out a payment plan that suits you.

What is the cancellation and refund policy?
  • Up to 100 days before the retreat: full refund of the first payment/deposit.
  • From 99 days before the retreat: no refund of the deposit.
  • From 30 days before the retreat: full payment is due; cancellation is no longer possible.

Our terms and conditions apply.

Is the retreat guaranteed to take place?

A retreat takes place once a minimum number of participants is reached. If it is not reached, we may cancel up to 60 days before the start – you then receive the amount paid back in full.

What is not included?

Travel (flight and the way to the meeting point), insurance and personal expenses such as massages or extras. We recommend travel cancellation insurance as well as health and accident insurance.

Practice & cold

Do I need yoga experience?

No. Beginners and experienced yogis are equally welcome – as long as you are open to trying new things.

Do I need to be flexible?

Not at all. The yoga sessions are designed for different levels and focus on mindful movement rather than performance. You listen to your body and adapt the practice.

Which styles of yoga do you teach?

Vinyasa, Yin Yoga and Yoga Nidra – in a different mix depending on the retreat.

Do I need experience with cold exposure or ice baths?

No. It helps, though, to get used to the cold a little beforehand – for example with a cold shower now and then.

How often will there be ice baths?

That depends on the retreat; usually there are one or two guided sessions. Everything is optional: you can join, skip or decide on the spot. There is always an alternative – rest, sauna, a gentle walk or journaling.

I'm not a fan of the cold – can I still come?

Absolutely. Nobody has to go into cold water. Many guests join the breathwork only, which can be powerful in itself. Depending on the retreat it may also be a gentle plunge in natural water rather than extreme temperatures.

Are there any fitness requirements?

Yoga, sauna and cold exposure can be physically and mentally demanding. You should feel healthy and fit. Please tell us in advance about health conditions or injuries; if you have any heart concerns, talk to your doctor first.

On site

What is included in a retreat?

In general:
- 1–2 yoga sessions per day
- Workshops on breathwork and cold exposure
- Sauna sessions
- Walks and hikes in nature
- Journaling for reflection
- Accommodation in your chosen room category
- Transfer from a central meeting point

Meals and details differ from retreat to retreat – you will find them on each retreat's page.

Can I join the retreat alone?

Absolutely. Many of our guests come alone. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, it is easy to connect with others – and you still have plenty of personal space.

Which meals are served?

We cook as locally and organically as possible, with fresh, seasonal ingredients: light, nourishing and often inspired by the region. Many retreats are mainly vegetarian or vegan; depending on the location there may also be fish or meat. Which meals are included is listed for each retreat.

Do you offer vegan options?

Yes. If you live strictly vegan, just let us know in your request – we plan for it from the start.

Do you serve alcohol?

Not as part of the retreat programme. At some locations you can order a glass of wine or an aperitif – the choice is yours.

How do I get to the retreat?

We organise a group transfer from the nearest airport or a central meeting point. You will receive detailed travel information in good time before the retreat.

Do I have to wear swimwear in the sauna?

It is entirely up to you. There are no strict rules – what matters is that you feel comfortable.

Do I have to take part in every activity?

No. Everything is optional. It is your time – whether you join everything or take conscious breaks, both are equally right.
